Research summary
Understanding and quantifying at the molecular scale the geochemical processes between micro-organism (bacteria and fungi), fluids and rocks and their effects on global biogeochemical cycles. Experimental techniques applied includes Focus Ion Beam (FIB), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM, STEM, EDX, SAED), synchrotron-based techniques (STXM, µ-FTIR), Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS and NanoSIMS). (Bio)-geochemistry of iron (oxy)-hydroxides. Processes at the mineral-microorganism interface. Geo-mycology : alteration and mycorrhiza.
