The BGeoSys group includes faculty, post-doctoral, Ph.D. and technical staff with expertise in a range of research fields from the biogeochemistry of continental and marine systems, to the kinetics of water-rock-microorganism interactions and the modelling of the Earth system.
Our approach encompasses experimental, modelling and field work covering a large spectrum of temporal (seconds to billion years) and spatial (nanometer to the global) scales. Our research activities are mainly focused on the global carbon and nutrient cycles, as well as their role in shaping Earth’s past, present and future climate.
